Bukkake Earlobe - Wide Asleep in a Den of Bees

A relatively succinct ode to our flying swarming f(r)iends, for which the adjective “spooky” insistently presents itself despite the unwanted and incorrigible Scooby Doo connotation on the word.

Nonetheless, bathe in the sweet, dark honeys of our discontent within the hive of drones hypnotic and insecure.  Feed yourself to the queen.

Tracklisting:

  1. Wide Asleep in a Den of Bees (10:45)

Ellipse - After the Sun

Ellipse - After the Sun

Ethereal sonorities in a shadowy berth, a meeting place for things both dark and light.  Here are our dualities investigated, awash in colour and grey, claustrophobic in an infinite space: the locus of a soul.

Ellipse presents us with three pieces for electric guitar that are at times quietly introspective, and at others screaming at the heavens with fire and futility.  Please adorn your ears and explore.

Tracklisting:

  1. Becoming Empyreal (18:22)
  2. The Immeasurable Breadth of Night (9:59)
  3. An Ocean Upon Us (23:17)

Bukkake Earlobe - Earless

An impromptu noise EP appears!  Constructed with blinded ears: the entirety of this EP was recorded, programmed, and manipulated completely without listening.  Minor tweaks were made to the end result, and a few hours later, we released the damn thing.  An experiment in soundless noisemaking, chronicled only on Skrow!.  Despite the title of the EP, we encourage the use of auditory receptor appendages for the enjoyment of this record.  Should you lack them, we suggest biting your stereo.  Yum.

Tracklisting:

  1. The Lidless Sleep of Spring Dreams Millions (8:08)
  2. The Summer of Our Discontent is Marauding Leaves Into the Effortless Mother Helix (6:24)

Bukkake Earlobe - Ixixix

Bukkake Earlobe - Ixixix

Wavering wisps of warbling wash (I’m far too fond of alliteration), presented in honour of a calendrical anomaly the likes of which the vast majority of us shall not see again in our lifetimes.  Primarily because we’re all going to die at the end of 2012 anyway, AMIRITE???  For the time being, however, enjoy your nine tracks totaling nine minutes and nine seconds of drone noise constructed of the word nine and named in roman numerals nine three times which equals twenty-seven and the sum of two and seven is in fact nine and today’s date is the ninth day of the ninth month of the supposed ninth year of the second millenium in the common era HOLY FUCK WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!~

Tracklisting:

  1. Programming a Dishwasher (1:04)
  2. Friendly Reminder (0:28)
  3. Egregious Spin Cycle Phenomena (1:23)

Grimbeard - Garbage And

Grimbeard - Garbage And

Inspired by Gwilym Wogan’s Daily Refrain, here we have an impromptu EP of grimy surrealist folk.  Five songs produced in five days, resulting in just over eleven minutes of sloppy guitar, swirling background hiss, hastily programmed drums, and occasionally rhyming nonsense from the aptly-named Grimbeard.  Throw your razors away and folk out with your yolk out.

Tracklisting:

  1. Beware the Ides of March of Dimes (1:44)
  2. 21st Century Laundry Man (2:47)
  3. Bigfoot Don’t You Lose My Number (2:08)
  4. Bitchcraft (2:29)
  5. Mouth Full of Pearls (2:07)

Bukkake Earlobe - Milk Me
Bukkake Earlobe - Milk Me

In which we release an EP of noise.

The supplier had this to say about the assortment of audio files that accompanied the lazy art-bullshit (bullshit-art? I can’t decide) excuse for cover art I just said art like five times in one sentence and no I swear I’m not “on something” right now unless maybe sleep deprivation counts as an abusable substance, which it probably should:

“The last Bukkake Earlobe release was some time ago, and I made this one mostly because I’m sick of music.  Random samplesets were loaded into my tracker of choice and then I just mashed my hands across the keyboard for a few seconds.  I bounced the results to Cubase and mangled them as is my wont to do. You know, I was just thinking about how much paisley patterns look like paramecia.  My almost-step-brother’s fiancee was wearing a skirt prominently featuring single-celled organisms today!”

…And we’re back.  Please enjoy some lovely noise at our expense.  My kitchen is on fire.

Tracklisting:

  1. Fæx Machina (2:02)
  2. Carniv(or)al (1:00)
  3. Splatterhorse (1:31)
  4. High-Speed Parking Structures (1:46)
  5. Planet Funeral (4:16)

Cigarettes & Clip-Art - Hole Sections

Cigarettes & Clip-Art - Hole Sections

The crudely-drawn floating head returns as a vengeant stormcloud, curling forth with great malignance to swallow your pathetic unsuspecting city.  Noisy synths rumble and bounce across jagged beats, the occasional slice of guitar flashing briefly in the night sky.  Five chunks of unusual barometric pressure which will make you unsure whether to dance, headbang, or throw yourself on the floor and hallucinate.  We suggest all three, simultaneously if possible.  You may need to use gaffer’s tape to keep those headphones on.  Goodnight, Mr. Moon!

Tracklisting:

  1. Section A (3:08)
  2. Section C (6:44)
  3. Section B (4:58)
  4. Section D (1:39)
  5. 23rd Orifice (Hole) (24:13)

One Grisly Day - Live @ Extremefest

One Grisly Day - Live @ Extremefest

The first day of May, 1999.  Cleveland (and very Skrow!-oriented) folk-influenced black metal group One Grisly Day’s performance at a gig dubbed Extremefest, at the famous Peabody’s (the old Peabody’s), is faithfully taped to camcorder and rendered to VHS by… someone.  Someone else entirely (like, the drummer) would later unearth this tape, capture the audio, and humbly request its release here on Skrow!.

Thus, in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of this performance, the long-since-defunct One Grisly Day achieve their Skrow! debut.  As the only recording with this lineup, including two songs never recorded elsewhere, this 24 minute set is a fitting document of the band’s early era (before many lineup changes and the eventual transmogrification into groovecore band Screaming Underwater), complete with blistering guitars, harrowing screams, and production as GR1M, N3KR0 and, dare I say, TR00… as you could ever want it.  Please crank this for posterity.

Tracklisting:

  1. Moonscape (5:50)
  2. Nero Fiddler (5:34)
  3. The Legend of the Weeping Willow (5:57)
  4. Ritual (6:10)

Ellipse - Abandoned

Ellipse - Abandoned

Continuing in quick succession the spirit of rendering the old as new, today finds us with Ellipse’s Abandoned.  The title of the EP is a double entendre: each of the four pieces is part of a concept that revolves around the departure from Earth in favour of finding home on other heavenly bodies; at the same time, the title refers to the fact that this project was initiated two years ago and was intended to be considerably longer.  These were, in fact, Ellipse’s first attempts at music of an ambient nature, and simply fell to the wayside as the artist progressed away from the new agey style you will find within.

So, in the spirit of rebirth, here it is.  Don some headphones and turn your gaze heavenward.

Tracklisting:

  1. Exodus From a Blue Planet (6:29)
  2. The Destitution of Ashen Canyons (6:52)
  3. Sunrise Over the Umber Plains (7:05)
  4. Golden Cities in the Troposphere (6:08)
